[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Bob van Persie\u2019s work is based on materials, which seem to be of no value to others. Things people throw away, recreated by Bob to stay. A piece of paper will change into a person, sitting in the stands of a pulsating stadium.<\/p>\n

Where people gather and unwittingly create an overall picture. Too far away to recognise faces or to point out the individual. \u201cThe perception of a roaring crowd, is like a breeze through cornfields. It sends shivers down my spine,\u201d Van Persie says.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, however, when little colour is used in his work, the silence is overwhelming.<\/p>\n

Bob uses newspapers and magazines from all around the globe (China, Egypt, USA, Europe) to create his crowds. The papers supply their own colour, paint is not needed.<\/p>\n

The finishing is done by glue and varnish, which hardens the paper.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
